With SQYZ, Timo Wuchner debuts a stand-alone chair that draws attention to the abilities of wood joinery through moments of delicate play.

Sustainably produced by carefully sourcing timber, aluminum, and linseed oil paint, the chair's design avoids composite materials entirely, and can be easily assembled with a simple mallet.

The chair is built by inserting intricately shaped ash pieces into precision-cut aluminum slots, creating a secure connection without the need for screws or adhesives. As the ash wood expands it locks itself into the aluminum and creates strength. This approach showcases the material’s inherent characteristics while emphasizing a sustainable construction method.
