Lamé Curve Table
Extra large and extra chunky dining table that sits up to 12 people.
The table top and legs are both contemporary translations of the Lamé curve that is sometimes referred to also as a so called superellipse.
It is a geometric curve which is mathematically neither ellipse or square but resembles both. Its where the tension between both shapes pushing to become each other fail to do so but create a new shape alltogether.
Pushing a square to become round and vice versa and seeing where both shapes meet, the table is a playful translation of those forces.
