Inspired by turbine roof vents, the Lamellae Table Lamp steals its shape of the mechanical equipment that sits quietly on top of buildings as well as it is a translation of classical table lamp shade and base. The lamellae of the lamp are 58 individually bent steel pieces, which fold in different directions on a rotational axis. Light slips through the openings without glare, creating an accent piece with a dim lighting mood.
Each bent steel lamellae is burnished to create a patina that ages with the object, translating the sleek industrial roof vents into a texturized, raw object of the home.
